Israel — G-d’s Valued Treasure Part 2

 [Read DEUT 7:6-8; 14:2, 21]

Sayings abound in our vernacular, regarding choosing to purchase an item. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. What’s it worth to you?

The worth or value of an item is the amount that a purchaser is willing to pay.

All of these are true statements, and are somewhat applicable to a holy G-d and His chosen people Israel. Tenach goes on to describe the valued position of the Jewish people before their G-d. In majestic phrases, Israel iscalled:

1. Beauty in His ..His treasure…of great worth to Him.
2. He [Yhwh] kept Him [Israel] as the apple of His eye. Whoever touches you [Israel] touches the apple of His [Yhwh’s] eye. [DEUT 2:10; PS 17:8; Zech 2:8]
3. Yhwh has chosen Jacob unto Himself and Israel for His particular treasure [valued possession, personal property]. [PS 135:4; EX 19:5; DEUT 14:2]
4. Above all people [nations, Gentiles]. [DEUT 7:7; 10:15; 14:12; 26:19] It’s a pretty definitive statementand exclusive–narrowing down who is on top!
5. He states definitely, I will place salvation [y’shua] in Zion for Israel my glory. [IS 46:13]

Consider these absolute truths [yes, there ARE absolute truths], and accurate conclusions arrived at by looking atall of Tenach:

• There is no 2nd Palestinian State, because NO FIRST ONE existed in Tenach–or ever!
• The word Palestinian comes from the word for Philistia or Philistines! Not at all good!
• There is NO dividing of the land or of the city of Jerusalem, because the One who made covenant with Israel absolutely forbids it–all through the Neviim [prophets].
• He chose, set aside, valued, focused His eye on and sets the Jewish people above all other people.
• In IS 46:13, G-d Himself calls Israel my glory–#1 to G-d! There are no equals, in His mind and heart…no sharing of [my] land…Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his descendants are the sons of [His] promise.

Know what G-d says in His Word, before you jump to any conclusions about His people Israel and the Palestinians–they are NOT His people. They have NO land of Promise. Only the Jewish people do.
